The Manager-Labor Relations will lead efforts that nurture a positive work environment consistent with company values and brand standards in restaurants. They will support multiple US-based markets, develop labor relations tools and resources, and ensure legal compliance.
As a subject matter authority in employee relations, this role will advise owner/operators, employees, and vendors on a broad range of trends, strategies, programs, and activities.
Principal Accountabilities include (but are not limited to):
- Leadership: Participate in the development of short and long-term strategies. Supervise the design and implementation of tools, materials, training, and communication to maintain a positive work environment.
- Identify trends, future needs, and potential barriers to employee engagement.
- Focus on elevating the employer brand reputation and crew-first mentality through existing initiatives.
- Stay abreast of labor and HR trends, legislative changes, and regulatory updates.
- Advise and Influence: Prioritize complex employee/labor matters within designated markets. Deliver positive employee relations training for knowledge transfer.
- Ensure tools, resources, and processes are relevant, standardized, and compliant with employment laws.
- Monitor employment trend changes affecting US restaurants and communicate proactively.
- Take a leadership role with customers, balancing employee needs, business needs, and legal compliance.
Relationships: Build strong partnerships with business partners (Operations, Global People, Global Impact), understand customer needs, and ensure adequate support for market strategies.
