We’re recruiting for a Market Development Manager to join us. We’re offering a competitive base salary, plus car allowance. In this role you will define, design, develop and deliver specialist services to support distribution in order to maximise revenue and profitability targets across retail distribution products and propositions.
Specialist services include Protection, Specialist Protection, HNW, Annuities, Home Finance, and sales skills.
What you’ll be doing:
- Deliver Technical workshops, sales training and keynote conference and roadshow presentations for Internal and External customers, across the full Intermediary product range
- Proactively develop Account strategies for specialist services across the Divisions through identifying adviser and client opportunities and formulating recommendations to increase productivity of all specialist services
- Gather and collate market information to improve propositions and delivery across retail distribution products and propositions
- Identify and exploit new market opportunities to grow the Retail and Specialist Markets. Generate ideas for product change, enhancement and development across distribution channels to increase profitable market share and help meet the business objectives.
- Work in partnership with telephone and field-based colleagues to implement business plans and contact strategies.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of competitor activity to include major players and potential new entrants. Highlight trends, peaks, troughs and make predictions to feed into distribution strategy, highlighting possible issues or opportunities.
- Work closely with wider Intermediary distribution team to ensure that all propositions and external opportunities are maximised.
Who we’re looking for:
- Excellent presentation and training skills
- Experience of training, coaching and developing strategy within business providers to grow income streams
- Understanding of current and proposed regulation (FCA, DMD, ABI, Data Protection Act, Money Laundering, internal compliance routines)
- Understanding of marketing methods to assist business providers in day-to-day sales activity and campaign planning
- Detailed knowledge of sales skills and generic best practice
