Red Wing Brands of America is seeking a Territory Account Manager to join our Wholesale team.
This role will manage accounts in defined region: MN, WI, North MI, and North IL. Candidate must reside within territory.
This role will focus on managing and nurturing existing client relationships and meeting sales targets through effective sales strategies and customer service in the independent sales channel.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering wholesale revenue, volume, and targets for the defined territory, growing existing and new accounts.
- Explaining product features, benefits, and value proposition to customers to drive adoption and assortment expansion.
- Adhering to Sales Methodology and Benchmarks, negotiating, and closing sales deals.
- Analyzing account performance, partnering with accounts to facilitate in-season orders, and field customer inquiries.
- Providing merchant support, including merchandising materials, standards, and in-store support.
- Conducting sales and product training clinics for assigned independent retailers.
- Partnering with accounts to accelerate product sales using marketing partnerships and assets.
- Cultivating brand awareness through tradeshows, consumer shows, and in-market training.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum five years of account management or sales experience.
- Proven track record of managing a book of business.
- Footwear sales experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Deep knowledge of Standard Industrial Classifications (SIC).
- Thorough understanding of RWS products.
- Strong awareness of products, customers, and market trends.
- Knowledge of retail Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) policies.
- Ability to support strategic account plans and address complex customer needs.
- Understanding and utilizing retail financial metrics.
- Analyzing and responding to market demands at a regional level.
- General understanding of cultural factors influencing market behavior.
- Creating and interpreting analytical data.
Work Environment:
- Home office with frequent travel to customer environments.
- Candidates must live within the defined territory, preferably near a major hub.
