About This Role Through cutting-edge science and medicine, Biogen passionately seeks innovative therapies for neurodegenerative disease and autoimmune disorders. Joining as Medical Advisor, you'll work in a field-based, customer-facing role focused on Key Medical Experts (KMEs) and Healthcare Professionals (HCPs). Approximately 50-70% travel is expected, and you must be based in Ankara or Istanbul.
As Medical Advisor, Türkiye, you'll act as a scientific expert, knowledgeable about Biogen products, disease states, and competitor products. You'll establish long-term scientific relationships with leading specialists, nurses, allied health professionals, medical societies, and academic centers.
What You'll Do
- Engage KMEs/HCPs: Identify KMEs/HCPs and collaborate with commercial counterparts to engage KOLs medically.
- Develop and implement KME/HCP engagement plans to build strong scientific relationships.
- Plan KME/HCP visits and record interactions using CRM.
- Provide scientific education to KMEs/HCPs, facilitating data discussions.
- Give scientific presentations (seminars, roundtables, journal clubs).
- Source and brief speakers for national/regional meetings.
- Liaise with investigators and Biogen regarding clinical research progress.
- Collaborate with commercial counterparts on local needs.
- Contribute to field medical training.
- Develop strategy with medical and CF launch teams.
- Collaborate with Global Clinical Operations and Medical Lead Türkiye on clinical trials.
- Liaise with other medical and cross-functional launch teams.
- Collaborate with the Medical Lead Turkey to produce high-quality medical presentations.
- Keep abreast of medical literature and discuss/educate on publications and findings.
- Maintain compliance with Biogen and local external frameworks/codes of conduct.
Who You Are
- Skilled medical professional with passion for rare diseases and scientific relationships.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to clearly convey complex scientific information.
Required Skills
- University degree in Pharmacy or Medicine, PhD Neuroscience preferred
- Minimum 3 years of relevant Pharma industry experience
- Turkish experience essential
- Neurology experience preferred
- Strong business acumen, strategic planning, and communication skills (Turkish and English)
- Proven collaboration skills with internal and external medical communities
- Scientific integrity
- Statistical & data interpretation skills for medical information review
- Skills in Research, Pharmacovigilance, Legal, and Pharmaceutical Compliance
Preferred Skills
- Understanding of drug development through clinical research
- Knowledge of local healthcare systems and regulations
- International experience desired
