Make an Impact on Student Lives: Partner with campuses for graduate placement in employment opportunities, adhering to accreditation guidelines and company goals.
Provide Guidance: Support students and employers with job preparedness, externship, and placement processes, driving externship-to-hire conversions for Workforce Development partners.
Generate Databases: Create externship and employer partner databases through cold calling, mailing, and site visits.
Partner with Campuses: Work with Career Services and Externship teams to meet placement goals aligned with company metrics and accreditation requirements.
Maintain Records: Document and maintain student, graduate, and employment records in CampusVue.
Participate in Meetings: Attend relevant Campus Career Services, Externship, and Workforce Development meetings.
Maintain Communication: Ensure regular and consistent communication with students, graduates, externship sites, and employers, documenting all activities in CampusVue.
Monitor Training: (if requested) Monitor student externship training to ensure compliance with accreditation, company policies, and industry regulations.
Serve as Backup: Provide orientation for externships, on-site supervisors, and students (if requested).
Collect and Upload Documents: Collect, enter, and upload externship documents and complete evaluations (if requested).
Travel: May require travel to locations of Workforce Development partners, students, and graduates.
Manage Special Projects: Handle special projects and other assigned duties.
Success Metrics & Key Results:
- Achieve a 65% externship-to-hire conversion rate for campuses with <100 Medical Assisting students.
- Achieve a 45% externship-to-hire conversion rate for campuses with >100 Medical Assisting students.
- Meet the minimum 70% employment rate benchmark of ABHES and ACCSC for each cohort, striving to meet Unitek Learning's 87% goal for assigned campuses.
- Meet weekly/monthly graduate placement goals and supporting placement activities.
- Maintain a minimum 40% employer survey response rate.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum three years as a Medical Assistant and five years in vocational education supporting Medical Assistant education, training, externship, and graduate placement.
- Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Career Services and Externship practices for Medical Assisting in the vocational education industry.
- Skills: Demonstrated aptitude and operational knowledge in career services, academic externship processes, and operations.
- Accreditations: Experience with ACCSC and/or ABHES accreditation a plus.
- Data Analysis: Ability to gather data, analyze results, and present findings.
- Proficiency: Demonstrated high proficiency in departmental operations, accreditation and regulatory guidelines, reporting, metrics, auditing, and documentation.
- Relationship Building: Maintain professional appearance and demeanor with excellent competency in relationship building with students, graduates, externship partners, and employers.
- Researching: Strong researching skills to identify and pursue externship and employer partners.
- Lead Generation: Ability to generate leads, meet externship-to-hire initiatives and meet placement goals.
- Computer Literacy: Demonstrated computer literacy skills including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Software Proficiency: Experience with CampusVue/Nexus, Canvas, and CRM Tools a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
