Medical Science Liaison Nephrology (Austria)

The MSL drives strategic country medical activities in Austria in alignment with regional initiatives and the Global Medical Plan.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively manage medical scientific stakeholders and create value for patients through engagement, projects, and communications.
• Independently initiate medical activities, including presentations, data discussions, value proposition concepts, and educational programs.
• Identify, develop, and maintain collaborative relationships with KOLs and medical experts (70% field-based, 30% office-based).
• Deliver high-quality medical and scientific communication internally and externally.
• Provide field feedback and support local organization development.
• Support scientific advisory boards and local studies if needed.
• Attend relevant congresses and symposia to represent Sobi.
• Represent scientific interests in internal/external forums and interact with KOLs.
• Maintain relationships with scientific societies and local health authorities.
• Provide advice on medical matters and their legal implications.
• Ensure medical and scientific knowledge remains current.
• Maintain professional relationships with KOLs.

Requirements:

• University degree in medical/science or relevant field.
• Experience with new product pre-launch/launch activities.
• In-depth knowledge of national healthcare systems.
• Ability to create and network with KOLs.
• Knowledge of national healthcare system decision-making processes.
• Experience in communicating and building relations with authorities.
• Fluency in German and English.
• Proficient in modern IT and office software.
