Job Details
National Account Director (NAD) - Health Systems is a field-based role focused on sales of DNAnexus products.
Responsibilities include:
- Successfully developing and closing DNAnexus business for accelerating research involving genomic and phenotypic/clinical data within the assigned territory and accounts.
- Generating new business and growing existing accounts.
- Working with internal teams (General Management, solution science, and marketing) to create and execute a business plan.
- Actively engaging accounts, generating pipeline, and qualifying opportunities.
- Managing software trials and pilots to achieve contract closure.
- Developing and closing software license orders.
- Supporting channel partners.
- Driving customer engagement and adoption of DNAnexus platform.
- Maintaining a strong pipeline to meet quota.
- Traveling to develop and close business.
- Demonstrating deep understanding of the DNAnexus product portfolio.
- Negotiating contract terms and closing complex sales.
- Meeting and exceeding assigned sales goals.
- Utilizing Salesforce.com and other relevant tools.
Experience Required:
- 10+ years of strategic sales experience in healthcare systems, integrated delivery networks, and research institutes.
- Knowledge of precision medicine, informatics, enterprise platform solutions in healthcare and life sciences.
- Understanding of medical research and clinical functions and omics data.
- Proven ability to negotiate and close complex sales.
- Ability to understand and communicate medical, technical, and scientific concepts.
- Experience and Education: 10+ years experience selling technology solutions; MBA or related scientific master's degree preferred. Advanced degrees in relevant scientific fields (e.g., genetics, data science, molecular biology) are a plus. PhDs or MDs with sales experience are highly desired.
