Purpose: The Online Communities Program Specialist is accountable for assisting in the day-to-day operations of The Lingraphica Community programs, providing daily, virtual support group and conversation group sessions for individuals with communication disorders and their care partners.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create and launch virtual session events for multiple online communities.
- Monitor and respond to member and facilitator email inquiries.
- Facilitate regular virtual conversation & support group sessions.
- Collaborate with the Online Communities Manager to support program initiatives.
- Represent Lingraphica program offerings with consumers and SLPs.
- Assist with the planning and execution of content for virtual sessions and other member engagement opportunities.
- Identify new relationships and nurture existing relationships with communication disorder organizations, universities, and clinicians.
- Coordinate special virtual events and session offerings throughout our various online communities.
- Create and launch member and facilitator-specific surveys as well as analyzing data to identify trends.
Other Duties & Responsibilities:
- Cross-team collaboration for day-to-day functions and project development.
- Assist with various marketing initiatives & campaigns as needed to promote online community offerings.
- Coordinate with our Digital Marketing Team on social media content creation and the management of our communities’ social media accounts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks, demonstrate proactivity, and workload flexibility.
- Strong technological skills, including use of Microsoft Office, Canva, and Zoom.
- Willingness to provide consistent world-class customer service.
- Strong communication skills, including speaking publicly to a large group.
- Possessing a creative mindset and being comfortable thinking outside the box and challenging the status quo.
Education & Experience:
- Associate’s degree in communication sciences & disorders or a related field, or a combination of education and experience, required.
- SLPA certification or some clinical experience with adult populations, preferred.
- Previous engagement or work experience with an aging population and/or the disabled individuals, required.
- Leading or participating in previous support groups (in-person or virtual), required.
- Proficiency with HubSpot, Slack, and forums/community platforms, preferred.
- Social media experience, preferred.
- Public speaking experience, preferred.
- Experience using project management tools, preferred.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Incumbent works from home and is expected to maintain a safe, productive work environment with secure internet access.
- Must be able to operate a computer with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Travel to Lingraphica’s home office and to cities within the continental United States for company related meetings is required 2 times per year.
