Job Details
Plans, directs, and supervises the activities of the OA Program, ensuring proper planning, scheduling, and effective implementation of all activities in program areas.
Supervises procurement and use of supplemental materials, including multimedia equipment.
Prepares and reviews reports and records of activities to ensure progress and objectives are attained.
Sets monthly goals for admissions counselors and monitors goals. Enacts corrective action as needed.
Ensures proper records on student progress are maintained by the OA department.
Promotes OTP programs. Adheres to cohort enrollment, case management efforts and career transition services.
Coordinates and participates in open houses, Job Fairs, Career Days, etc.
Monitors budget and related areas and maintains spending limits.
Assesses personnel needs and works with HR to screen and interview potential staff. Recommends promotions, transfers, and merit evaluations. Conducts and prepares performance appraisals.
Clearly communicates and consistently models appropriate CSS and employability skills.
Maintains accountability of staff, students, and property.
Adheres to safety practices.
Fosters and sustains a conducive environment, ensuring it remains free from harassment, intimidation, and disrespect.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business, communications, or closely related field, and one year related supervisory experience.
- Associate’s degree and three years related supervisory experience.
- Experience working with diverse youth.
- Valid Texas driver’s license.
