Payer Contracting Director works with market leaders for Privia’s value-based contracts with payers and providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage cross-functional work-streams (Payer Contracting, Population Health Management, Performance Management, Analytics).
- Manage strategic relationships with payers.
- Address strategic issues with Payer Contracting and Population Health Leadership.
- Make strategic recommendations based on market opportunities.
- Assess legal and financial implications of contracts (new, amendments, assignments).
- Represent Privia Medical Group to third-party payors.
- Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Revenue Cycle, etc. to develop business arrangements.
- Develop contracting policies and procedures for market demands and Privia needs.
- Develop financial analytics, impact scenarios, and profitability metrics for contract proposals.
- Monitor contract performance and develop remediation tactics for underperforming contracts.
- Manage contract development process for Privia providers.
- Gain access to key payer decision-makers.
- Analyze and estimate financial impact of managed care contracts.
- Travel required, as needed.
- Additional Duties: As needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred, Master’s in Healthcare or MBA highly preferred.
- 6+ years of experience in health plans, health systems, or provider organizations.
- Thorough understanding of managed care products and financial impacts.
- Understanding of contracting processes and operations.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Ability to grasp both clinical and business concepts.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and financial skills.
- Project management skills (juggling multiple projects).
- Strategic and flexible thinking.
- Compliance with HIPAA rules and regulations.
Salary: $125,000 - $150,000 base pay (exclusive of bonuses/benefits).
Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life, pet insurance, 401K, PTO, and wellness programs.
Bonus: Annual bonus targeted at 15%, and restricted stock units.
Remote Work Requirements (if applicable): 5 Mbps download, 3 Mbps upload internet speed.
