Job Details
Responsible for overseeing the successful implementation and data migration of payroll systems.
Lead and manage the full payroll implementation process, ensuring clients' data is accurately transferred, systems are properly configured, and the transition is seamless.
Collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, guiding clients through the setup and migration phases, offering ongoing support and training.
Responsibilities:
- Project Set-up: Work with onboarding team and clients to organize and run kick-off meetings; deliver implementation.
- Create, maintain, and manage project plans for successful roll-out.
- Client and Project Management: Support project review calls, coordinate and deliver project streams.
- Refer and manage changes to scope of work and delivery schedule.
- Payroll Process Requirements: Define and set up agreed client payroll processes, establishing all payroll and data requirements.
- Ensure each client payroll calendar is managed timely and effectively.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed project documentation (plans, status reports, process documentation).
- System set-up and parallel payroll process: Define, agree, and configure interfaces, reports, and systems to deliver parallel and live payroll.
- Go-live transition, Sign-off and documentation: Work with client to sign-off on project, document client needs/processes; ensure validation/confirmation.
- Reports: Generate reports to analyze, audit, and reconcile payroll data.
- Mapping of GL reports if required.
- Communication: Point of contact for all payroll project matters.
- Autonomous role; sets priorities and manages the project; provides regular status reporting to senior leadership, escalating issues as necessary.
- Weekly client calls to report on status, identify risks, actions, issues and dependencies.
- Project Management: Lead and manage end-to-end global payroll system implementation for on-time/on-budget delivery.
- Client Management: Gather client requirements for onboarding, guide them through technical payroll aspects.
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other stakeholders to gather payroll requirements.
- Compliance: Ensure payroll processes adhere to local tax and labor laws, staying updated on changes.
- Data Migration: Oversee migration of payroll data from legacy systems, ensuring accuracy and security.
- Testing: Develop and execute a comprehensive testing plan for system issues and smooth transition.
- Change Management: Implement change management strategies.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in global payroll implementation and payroll operations.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and compliance.
- Experience with payroll systems and software.
- Client-facing project management experience.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) preferred.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
