About the Role
Reporting to the Associate Director, Global Payroll based in Amsterdam, the Payroll Specialist/Analyst will support and coordinate the company's payroll requirements and equity management across the Americas. You will play a key role in the business and will have responsibility for ensuring all payrolls are processed on time, accurately, and in accordance with contracts and local legislation.
What will your day look like? You will...
- Prepare and oversee In-House and Outsourced end-to-end local payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing for the Americas
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with local payroll vendors to ensure seamless payroll delivery
- Ensure compliance with payroll regulations, tax laws, and social security requirements in each jurisdiction
- Perform equity management administrative tasks
- Support process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of payroll operations
- Execute payroll policies, procedures, and controls to ensure consistent practices and compliance
- Stay updated with evolving global and local payroll regulations as they relate to the Americas
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, financial reporting, tax, legal and IT, to streamline payroll processes and data integration
- Ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) are met
- Execute recurring payroll audit and compliance tasks
- Perform monthly payroll GL reconciliations and provide support to financial reporting team
- Support global payroll projects, such as system implementations, upgrades, and payroll optimisation initiatives
- Coordinate year-end payroll processes, including country specific tax reporting, annual statements, and compliance filings
- Support internal business and employee payroll related queries
What you will bring;
- 5+ years experience as a Payroll Specialist/Analyst or similar role, supporting payroll operations
- Experience in equity operations a bonus
- Fluency in Spanish is a bonus
- Strong understanding of international payroll practices, accounting, regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements across multiple countries and regions
- Strong understanding of international statutory deductions, tax rates, social security requirements, and benefits regulations
- Experience in dealing with external payroll service providers and vendors
- Proficiency in using payroll software or systems for end-to-end payroll processing
- Understanding of HRIS systems and their integration with payroll systems
- Strong analytical skills to assess payroll accounting data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
- Understanding of data protection regulations and confidentiality requirements in handling employee information
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment with a customer-centric mindset
- Relevant certifications in payroll and/or equity management or related fields are advantageous
