Job Details

Payroll Specialist assists in the overall functioning of the payroll department.

Reports to the Manager, Global Payroll, and the Accounting and Finance team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Process tax changes, wage garnishments, deductions, direct deposits and other payroll items for specific countries.
  2. Establish and maintain payroll files, wage garnishments, child support and unemployment records.
  3. Semi-Monthly/Monthly Payroll Processing (approx. 30%):
    • Coordinate information workflow with HR, recruiters, etc.
    • Review and analyze payroll forms and reports for accuracy; make necessary adjustments or corrections.
    • Ensure accurate and timely payroll closure.
  4. Internal Communication and Support (approx. 30%):
    • Respond to pay-related employee inquiries.
    • Provide resources, support and training for employees.
  5. Other Duties and Ad hoc Projects (approx. 5%):
    • Assist with company-wide payroll initiatives.
    • Assist with payroll projects.
    • Assist with audit requests.
    • Provide support to cross-functional teams.
    • Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of payroll processing experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Proficient in Google products (Email, Shared Documents).
  • Ability to analyze payroll data.
  • Familiarity with UltiPro or ActivPayroll a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Integrity and discretion.
  • Team-oriented working style.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Organizational awareness.
