A great opportunity for an experienced Payroll Team Lead to join the dynamic team at Endeavour Group!

Flexible hybrid role - Location is either Richmond office, Melbourne OR Bulimba office, Brisbane

As the Payroll Team Lead, you will lead a small team to deliver national payroll accurately and on-time every week.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing end-to-end weekly payroll for Endeavour Group employees (circa 30,000) using SAP Employee Central Payroll
  • Completing post payroll activities including STP reconciliation
  • Supporting, mentoring and upskilling the payroll team
  • Timely resolution of complex payroll cases and escalations in Service Now
  • Review and validation of termination estimates
  • Identifying and implementing process and system improvements
  • Maintain and manage payroll process and policy documentation as required and actively share knowledge and cross-skill team members
  • Identify key risk areas and escalate to the Compliance Lead to ensure ongoing payroll governance and compliance

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Australian Payroll
  • Minimum of 5 years payroll experience with some exposure to a leadership role
  • SAP ECP experience desirable, Service Now and/or UKG also ideal
  • Experience working in larger organizations, within a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Australian legislation and award interpretation
  • Ability to solve complex problems relating to payroll, leave and GL accounts
  • Excellent time management skills, eye for detail and accuracy
  • Ability to document and deliver process improvements
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
