Full-Time Peer Mentor

About Equip Equip is the leading virtual, evidence-based eating disorder treatment program. It's mission is to ensure that everyone with an eating disorder can access effective treatment.

About the role The Peer Mentor I is responsible for working with a multidisciplinary care team to help people recover from an eating disorder.

Responsibilities

• Maintain calendar for patient sessions.
• Meet with patients for virtual sessions, tailoring content to patient needs. Actively listen and support patient experiences.
• Co-facilitate support groups for patients and supporters.
• Practice responsible self-disclosure, using lived experience appropriately.
• Complete thorough and timely documentation.
• Attend internal meetings and trainings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Lived experience with eating disorder recovery and currently in solid recovery.
• 2+ years experience working directly with patients.
• Passion for helping patients and their families.
• Ability to connect with diverse patients.
• Passion for evidence-based care.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable with technology and remote work (on camera).
• Ability to work 2 evenings per week until 8pm.
