Full-Time Principal Safety Technology Support Specialist

Job Responsibilities:

• Leading Safety Systems Technology Support for PV's safety database and applications.
• Gathering, analyzing, and documenting user requirements for business initiatives.
• Liaising with the Safety Systems team to translate requirements into design specifications.
• Supporting safety system optimization.
• Designing, developing, and delivering user training for safety systems.
• Supporting the implementation and adoption of new safety systems and upgrades.
• Participating in audits and system demonstrations.
• Defining system requirements with the Safety Systems team.
• Testing development features, business enhancements, and validation activities for safety systems.
• Developing and maintaining SOPs, OGs, templates, and forms related to Safety Systems.
• Understanding IT SOPs and OGs impacting business processes related to Safety Systems.
• Analyzing and supporting programs for internal/external regulatory or customer reports.
• Implementing efficiencies in PV processes related to safety systems.
• Configuring, administering, and maintaining the safety database to meet client-specific requirements.
• Participating in the development, validation, testing, and maintenance of safety reporting tools (e.g., Business Objects).
• Creating and maintaining Argus project information, licenses, user access, and report requests.
• Developing and delivering training materials for end users and functional trainers.
• Training and mentoring junior Safety Technology Support Specialists.
• Advising and assisting PV users with alternate client databases.
• Assisting with other PV technology and systems initiatives.
• Participating in safety system data migrations and custom report planning, writing, and execution.
• Generating and performing quality checks of listings, reports, and queries from the safety database.
• Representing the Safety Technology Support team at project and client meetings.
• Maintaining expertise regarding PV Safety Systems and applications.

Qualifications:

• Life science graduate (pharmacy, nursing, or other healthcare), or experience in pharmacovigilance.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with safety applications and systems.
• Safety database application administrator experience (preferably Argus).
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities.
• Delegation, planning, and time management skills.
• Technical skills.
• Teamwork skills.
• Advanced English (spoken and written).
• Advanced MS Office literacy.
