Job Summary: Join one of the largest accountancy practices in the area with a friendly team, ideally suited to someone interested in Private Client Tax.
Location: A 13-minute walk from Salisbury Train station, central to a market town.
Team Profile: Diverse portfolio, handling complex issues. Specialised in Landed Estates and rural businesses, serving titled families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage portfolio of clients with complex tax affairs (HNWIs, Landed Estates, agricultural clients, entrepreneurs, Partnerships, Trusts).
- Assist Partners/Directors in tax planning initiatives (succession planning, trusts, corporate structures, capital gains, inheritance tax).
- Liaise with other service lines (Accounts & Corporate Tax).
- Oversee junior staff compliance and advisory tasks.
- Maintain strong client relationships and identify new work opportunities.
- Develop junior team members, providing feedback and technical/personal development assistance.
Requirements:
- Significant experience in professional services firms.
- Strong knowledge of private client tax issues.
- Proven technical knowledge and communication skills for complex messages.
- Experience in tax planning/advisory and managing complex compliance issues.
- People management and organizational skills.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant and/or Chartered Tax Adviser (ACA/CTA).
