Vendor Performance Manager will oversee vendor management staff in implementing and managing a formalized process for selecting, monitoring, and auditing third-party service providers.
Monitor and report on SLA compliance and contractual obligations.
Proactively review business processes and identify compliance and operational efficiency opportunities.
Prepare risk assessments for new and existing vendors, developing strategies and procedures to mitigate risk.
Manage, monitor, and track third-party vendor compliance with regulations and internal policies.
Oversee vendor scorecard meetings, ensuring follow-up on automation and business unit requirements.
Report third-party vendor performance, compliance, service quality, etc., to senior management.
Monitor, evaluate, and approve department forms/documents for compliance and timeliness related to vendor management.
Conduct periodic risk reviews of critical/high-risk vendors.
Oversee all aspects of the Vendor Management department and vendor relationships.
Oversee vendor onboarding due diligence according to company policy.
Oversee and monitor vendor complaints according to company policy.
Assess and assign risk tolerance based on regulatory requirements.
Manage action plans to ensure compliance.
Serve as first point of contact for non-responsive vendors.
Escalate non-compliant vendors immediately.
Oversee monthly vendor scorecard reviews, including timely completion, performance analysis, action plan documentation, and follow-up.
Ensure proper tracking, measurement, and reporting of vendor performance using the vendor scorecard.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/Medical Office training certificate or relevant experience preferred
- 5+ years of vendor management experience, with a focus on healthcare services
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent certification required
- In-depth knowledge of medical coding and billing procedures (ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS)
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, data security, and compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Project management and organizational skills
- Experience with contract negotiation and management
Salary: $66,000.00 - $82,000.00 (base) + annual bonus (up to 15%), restricted stock units
