Job Details
As a Referral Specialist in our Dedicated Referral Management Program at Motion MSK, you’ll play a critical role in bridging the gap between primary care providers, patients, and Motion’s exceptional care team. Your mission: to deliver compassionate, personalized support while helping patients navigate their care journey and building relationships that make a difference.
If you’re passionate about patient care, thrive in a collaborative environment, and love solving problems, this is your chance to make a meaningful impact.
The job:
- Provide operational support for Motion’s Dedicated Referral Management program
- Analyze, document, and organize daily referral data from primary care partners, identifying opportunities to support patients with MSK care needs
- Provide warm, care-driven patient outreach and education on Motion MSK as a care solution, including:
- Building trust
- Active listening
- Patient validation
- Identifying opportunities to personalize patient education
- Grow and maintain strong relationships and communication with clinical partners
- Partner with Motion’s Clinical Operations team
- Support patient scheduling and warm handoffs as needed
- Be the communication and relationship bridge between the Motion Ops team and partner teams
- Collaborate on strategic problem solving for patient needs
- Have the opportunity to progress your career
- Quickly scale responsibility and oversight within the organization
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or related hands-on experience
- Be philosophically aligned with our model of evidence-based musculoskeletal care
- Believe that more care is not always better care and the rush to surgery, imaging, and drugs ultimately hurts many patients
- Want to work in a collaborative care team environment with physicians, advanced practice providers, physical therapists, health coaches, and other exceptional health care operators
- Be a flexible and collaborative colleague who is interested in helping to define and refine our operational processes
- Have relevant work experience
- Worked in an ambulatory practice as a patient care coordinator, referral coordinator, or medical assistant
- Created and maintained operational workflows
- Partnered successfully with physicians to enable outstanding care delivery
- Have proven communication and customer service skills
- Are seeking a professional environment to grow, learn, and make an impact
- Possess a desire to improve the experience of patients, providers, and partners
- Are a natural problem solver, self-starter, clear communicator, and creative thinker
Preferred:
- Multilingual
- Have startup experience
- Have prior musculoskeletal or exercise science knowledge
Location requirements: Candidate must have the ability to work standard Eastern Time office hours with reliable internet access
