This is a remote position but candidates must live within the sales territory, which includes the New England states (ME, NH, VT, MA, CT, RI), plus NY, PA, MD, DE, and VA.
Individual contributor role with no direct reports.
Must have B2B experience selling energy storage products to installers and EPC's (hardware solutions for the residential market).
Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Sales Manager to join Savant Power.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets within the assigned region.
- Execute sales programs and initiatives to drive sales of power products into the distribution channel and new account adoption.
- Support sales of power products to residential energy contractors, educating them on smart power options, incentives, and installation.
- Create and execute strategic sales plans to win new business, drive revenue growth, and exceed sales targets.
- Educate installers, developers, builders, and specifiers on benefits and investment return for power monitoring and management systems.
- Support the education of clients at national and local events.
- Communicate the scalability of Savant solutions (entry-level monitoring to whole-home microgrids) and recommend a solution for every project.
- Analyze market trends, competitive solutions, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for business growth and product improvement.
- Identify, pitch, and win new business in the energy channel by pursuing leads, finding mutual contacts, and hunting for new opportunities daily.
- Provide detailed and actionable reporting on account performance, sales quotas, and activity benchmarks.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in the energy storage, energy management, or renewable energy channel, including experience with the planning and construction process.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, or 5+ years of B2B sales experience.
- Knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
- Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Excellent listening skills.
- Strong software skills (Keynote/PowerPoint, iPad/iPhone applications, webinar platforms, etc.).
- Adaptable to priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, high energy, engaging enthusiasm.
- Ability to work a variable schedule with 25% monthly travel.
- Experience with ERP and CRM software.
