International SOS is seeking qualified individuals to be a Work and Family Life (WFL) Supervisor for The Navy Fleet and Family Support Program (FFSP).
The FFSP supports active duty military members, reservists, and their families. It also supports military retirees, widows, and eligible family members, and other groups as authorized.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Providing educational and support programs for service members and families to prepare them for deployment and military life.
- Conducting outreach to at-risk groups.
- Ensuring deployment materials, services, and information are provided appropriately.
- Providing training and programs related to deployment, mobilization, repatriation, ombudsman training, relocation assistance, life skills, transition assistance, family employment, financial management, and emergency preparedness.
- Providing command outreach and liaison.
- Offering education and consultation on career decisions, finances, job seeking, and transitions from military to civilian life.
- Ensuring FFSMIS tracking of services.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Master's degree in adult education, social science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least two years of experience managing and coordinating multiple-site adult educational or social service programs.
- Proven skills in presentation and group facilitation.
- Knowledge of social services and/or education delivery systems.
- Experience collaborating with internal and external resources.
- Strong communication, assessment, and advocacy skills.
- Understanding of military life, preferably through family member experience.
- (Desirable) Knowledge of FFSMIS.
- (Desirable) Working knowledge of Microsoft 365.
