Full-Time Rheumatology Medical Director

Rheumatology Medical Director, North America Medical Affairs supports the medical business goals for the product in development by providing strategic leadership and tactical execution in support of the Medical Affairs Plan.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide strategic and scientific medical input for the Rheumatology product.
2. Become a disease state and product expert, providing feedback and insights to medical affairs deliverables.
3. Work closely with the medical field team to develop KOL and key institution engagement plans.
4. Create and execute advisory boards and educational activities (webinars, roundtables, symposiums, congress presence).
5. Develop US evidence generation strategy, collaborating with HEOR and global partners, to address stakeholder (HCPs, payers, and patients) needs.
6. Drive the strategic creation and execution of publication planning and scientific communications.
7. Develop and foster strong cross-collaborative relationships with internal partners (Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Operations, Market Access, etc.)
8. Support the market access team with medical expertise.
9. Interact with Key Opinion Leaders, Regulatory Authorities, and other external agencies.
10. Requirements:
• Advanced degree (MD, PharmD, or PhD)
• 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech experience, with at least 2 years in non-field roles (Medical Director ideal)
• Experience in Rheumatology and prior launch experience preferred
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and develop solutions to data gaps
• Experience developing, presenting, and publishing clinical data
• Strong partnering and teamwork skills
• Working knowledge of US regulations
• Strong scientific and clinical acumen
