The Safety, Health & Wellbeing Lead will provide operational and advisory safety support to the Endeavour Group brands within each State. Their primary aim is to prevent accidents and injuries by creating a safe work environment through implementing, monitoring and reviewing the Safety, Health & Wellbeing Strategy. This role is responsible for identifying and mitigating hazards, ensuring compliance with regulations, conducting inspections, and embedding a culture of care.
Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:
- Implement, monitor and review the Endeavour Group Safety Strategy.
- Partner with state operational teams to integrate health and safety into daily operations.
- Support the reduction of workplace injuries through incident investigations, hazard identification and root cause analysis.
- Champion a safety culture and drive change within business teams to ensure a safe operating environment.
- Assist with compliance regarding notifiable incidents/dangerous occurrences, handling serious incidents, and improvement notices.
- Conduct incident investigations for category 1 & 2 investigations to determine the root cause and assist with post-incident reviews, monitoring corrective actions.
- Review reports and data to identify then manage emerging themes.
- Support regulatory safety compliance at a state, area, and site level.
- Complete new Site Opening inspections, ensuring identification and rectification of any potential hazards.
- Implement initiatives to enhance the mental and physical wellbeing of all team members & drive wellness programs, ensuring a holistic approach to team member health.
- Stay informed about relevant health and safety laws and regulations and ensure compliance.

- Demonstrate a personal commitment to Health & Safety.
- Qualification in Workplace Health and Safety - minimum Certificate IV. Diploma highly regarded.
- iCAM certificate.
- Current and valid Full drivers license.
- Knowledge of the Workplace Health and Safety Act, Regulations and Codes of Practice.
- Knowledge of Hazard Management principles.
- Ability to identify Safety issues and prepare a comprehensive plan to achieve goals and objectives.
- Ability to work with teams to develop safety performance and improvement strategies.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both strong oral and written skills.
