About this Job This role oversees a segment of NielsenIQ North America Strategic Analytics & Insights (SA&I) end-to-end sales process across the SA&I portfolio (Consumer Behavior & Insights, Innovation, Brand & Media, Analytics & Activation). Develops account strategies for retention and growth, executing through prospecting, value creation, negotiation, and closing deals.
Accountabilities
- Manage active sales pipeline and consistent forecasting for the entire book of business.
- Own SA&I revenue target/quota for assigned portfolio.
- Identify and capitalize on new sales opportunities.
- Articulate SA&I offerings and value proposition, matching with client needs.
- Overcome objections and client resistance.
- Deepen understanding of client business strategy and effectively communicate with cross-functional partners.
- Create and activate holistic annual client strategies and account plans.
- Identify incremental SA&I business growth opportunities.
- Represent all SA&I services and practice areas, solution-agnostic.
- Own SA&I response/proposal creation (first-time service, large studies, cross-specialty, recurring revenue, RFPs).
- Liaise internally with Specialty Sales, PL, Ops to assess feasibility.
- Manage the end-to-end sales process with internal resources (Customer Success, Operations, Finance).
- Troubleshoot high-visibility client concerns, escalating to senior leadership.
- Lead client meetings and penetrate C-suite.
- Drive portfolio-wide sales strategy (awareness generation, engagement, CRM, thought leadership).
- Ensure internal processes are followed (CRM tracking).
- Maintain product/technical knowledge (learning workshops).
- Drive sales for long-term revenue maximization, short-term results.
- Ensure project scoping and profitability.
- Partner with Customer Success for healthy client relationships.
- Partner with NIQ Account Lead teams on strategy, joint-selling, RFP responses.
- Effectively manage SA&I or NIQ client funds.
Qualifications
- 8-10 years direct sales experience, new business development.
- 8-10 years market research experience selling to FMCG industry.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, strong relationship building.
- Experience collaborating with and selling to C-level executives.
- Strong strategic prospecting, new business development skills.
- Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal skills.
- Ability to operate independently and collaboratively.
- Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred.
- Strong analytical aptitude.
- Proven experience meeting high sales revenue targets.
Compensation
Base Salary: $92,000 - $135,000 (depending on experience, qualifications)
Sales-based incentive/performance-based bonus possible.
