Senior Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Support Functional Accounting Areas - Assist in key accounting functions, including month-end close, financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations.
• Month-End Close & Deliverables - Execute month-end closing procedures, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Manage assigned deliverables based on the close checklist and calendar.
• General Ledger Maintenance - Record, reconcile, and analyze transactions to maintain the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Reconciliation Preparation - Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other financial accounts. Investigate discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
• Expense Reporting & Payroll Support - Review expenses, payroll records, and related transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Audit Support & Financial Reporting - Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting schedules in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Support corporate audits by compiling necessary documentation and addressing auditor inquiries.
• Tax Compliance Support - Assist with the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Accounting Project Support - Contribute to special projects and process improvements within the accounting department.
• Compliance with Internal Controls - Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and best accounting practices to mitigate risks and maintain financial integrity.
• Data Integrity & ERP System Usage - Maintain financial data accuracy in ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or similar).
• Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with finance, operations, and other teams to support business initiatives.

Requirements:

• Education & Certification - Minimum part-qualified.
• Experience - 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Technical Skills - Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP preferred); ERP system proficiency (NetSuite, SAP, or Datev experience is a plus).
• Detail-Oriented - Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and ensure accuracy in financial records.
• Team Player & Service-Oriented - Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, service-minded approach.
