Full-Time Senior Accounts Executive

Senior Accounts Executive will be responsible for end to end Accounts Payable function including processing of payments, preparing billings, and aiding the accounting team on ad-hoc projects for APAC region.

Ideal candidate must have good judgment, keen attention to detail, analytical skills, basic understanding of accounting and organizational ability.

Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Head of Finance - APAC
• Manage end to end Accounts Payable function on an APAC scale (Australia, Malaysia and Singapore)
• Provide management with suggestions for the improvement of AP, accounting and business processes
• Verify & post supplier invoices into accounting system accurately.
• Monitor accounts payable inbox for invoices and statements
• Maintain accounts payable system (payments, vendor details)
• Reconcile creditors’ statements monthly, addressing outstanding invoices and credit balances
• Attend to AP queries promptly and professionally, escalate unknown issues.
• Verify payment and tax documents (supplier invoices)
• Ensure payments are executed on time and accurately, complying with policies & procedures
• Resolve discrepancy issues with internal/external parties.
• Identify opportunities to enhance processes, improve efficiency, and streamline workflows.
• Act as backup for Accounts Receivable and perform ad-hoc tasks.

Additional Information:

• Permanent, full-time role.
• Only candidates located in Malaysia, and Malaysians or non-Malaysians with a valid permit to work in Malaysia will be considered.
• Stringent background check required (qualifications, employment history, criminal records, credit/bankruptcy).
• Candidates with shorter notice or immediate availability are preferred.
• Required Qualifications:
• Local Malaysian
• Degree in accounting or finance from a recognized Malaysian University.
• 3-5 years of comprehensive accounts payable experience.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• ERP systems experience
• Intermediate MS Excel skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to meet tight deadlines, work under minimal supervision, and be a multitasker and team player
