Full-Time Senior Associate - Procurement Services

Job Purpose / Summary The Senior Associate, Strategic Sourcing assists category managers with category planning, strategy development, benchmarking, market intelligence, stakeholder management, and project pipeline development. He/she leads strategic sourcing execution, building cost models, designing/launching RFIs/RFPs, evaluating bids, negotiating, and making award recommendations. This role also drafts and negotiates contracts, and manages supplier relationships, driving year-over-year cost savings while maintaining quality and service levels. This role requires strong communication skills for interaction with senior client personnel. Possible people management responsibilities (up to 6 team members) may include analyst to associate levels across sourcing execution, contracting, supplier relationship management, and procurement operations. Creating a positive work environment and fostering cross-functional/cross-regional collaboration is essential.

Key Responsibilities / Job Duties

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies using the client's strategic sourcing process.
• Identify cost savings through negotiations, event-driven activities, and alternate sourcing strategies.
• Lead commercial negotiations and draft contracts.
• Support category managers in supplier relationship management, including performance, capability development, risk mitigation, cost savings, and quality improvements.
• Manage team objective setting, performance, career growth, training, and competency development (if applicable).
• Act as escalation point for the S2C team, communicating/resolving operational issues, escalating to the Regional Delivery Lead or Category Manager as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Deep understanding of strategic sourcing methods.
• Expertise in indirect spend categories (MRO, Capital, Professional Services, IT, Marketing, Logistics, etc.) and external market dynamics.
• Ability to determine the appropriate procurement strategy.
• Drafting contractual agreements (simple to complex).
• Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to provide custom solutions.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree
• 5-7 years of work experience in contracts, negotiations, procurement, or sourcing
• 5+ years of experience with strategic sourcing.
