Full-Time Senior Clinical Payer Policy Analyst

The Senior Clinical Payer Policy Analyst shapes reimbursement policy for Guardant Health’s precision oncology portfolio. This role influences payer engagement strategies, translates clinical evidence into coverage policies, and guides appeals and external review processes. The Senior Analyst partners with internal leadership and external stakeholders to expand patient access to NGS and advanced diagnostics.

• Lead analysis of payer coverage policies.
• Provide strategic recommendations to influence payer coverage criteria.
• Oversee complex appeals and external reviews.
• Collaborate with internal appeals teams.
• Partner with senior leadership on payer engagement strategies.
• Serve as a clinical reimbursement liaison.
• Train and mentor appeals and reimbursement staff.
• Conduct literature reviews and data analyses.
• Anticipate and interpret regulatory and policy changes.
• Represent Guardant Health in payer, policy, and clinical forums.

• 5–7+ years of experience in healthcare reimbursement or related fields.
• Success engaging with commercial and government payers.
• Strong understanding of payer coverage frameworks and NGS reimbursement.
• Advanced degree preferred (MS, MPH, CGC, MSN, PharmD, MD, or equivalent).
• Expertise in clinical documentation and payer policy interpretation.
• Exceptional communication, writing, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and data analysis tools.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive and strategic thinker.
