Senior Director, Clinical Value & Access, Screening is a subject matter expert and key senior team member leading an innovative approach to cancer screening. A medical affairs professional with deep clinical training and commercial experience, this role develops key partnerships with stakeholders within the cancer screening healthcare ecosystem for Guardant Health.
This role engages leading healthcare professionals to support the introduction of new cancer screening products and services. With a strong scientific and commercial background in oncology diagnostics, this role communicates and collaborates with leading healthcare professionals to demonstrate the clinical and economic value of Guardant Health's screening product(s).
Responsibilities:
- Translates research and publication data, disseminating information through publications, presentations, and educational activities.
- Engages key cancer screening leaders to discuss blood-based Colorectal Cancer (CRC) screening evidence and current screening pathways.
- Develops unique performance data to demonstrate screening product impact on clinical outcomes.
- Engages C-suite executives (Chief Medical Officers, Chief Quality Officers, etc.).
- Consults with Investigators on data collection, regulatory questions, and protocol development.
- Develops external partnerships to accelerate product adoption.
- Facilitates meetings and strengthens relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
- Supports on-site presentations and educational events for KOLs.
- Participates in the broader Medical Affairs organization.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (MS, MPH, PhD, PharmD, MD) with 10+ years of experience in medical affairs.
- 5+ years of experience in diagnostics, oncology, screening, public health, or related field.
- Strong interpersonal skills, outstanding work ethic, and high ethical & scientific standards.
- Proven leadership, product support, and strategic insight abilities.
- Experience in Medical Affairs for products across the cancer care continuum and partnering with large healthcare systems.
- Demonstrated success in executing medical/scientific plans supporting product development and differentiation.
- Ability to analyze and synthesize complex data and scientific information.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage conflict.
- Experience developing and managing research collaborations.
- Broad network of clinical relationships in oncology.
- Superior communication and presentation skills, particularly for scientific data presentations.
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation to translate scientific data into strategic insights.
Work Model: Hybrid work model with defined in-person/onsite and work-from-home days. All US employees within 50 miles of a Guardant facility required onsite Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
Compensation: $264,400 - $363,550 (US base salary range). Does not include benefits, bonus, or equity.
Additional Info: Employee may lift routine supplies, use office equipment, and work in a desk/office environment with potential exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard materials in a laboratory setting.
