Senior Director, Clinical Value & Access, Screening is a subject matter expert and key senior team member leading an innovative approach to cancer screening.
A medical affairs professional, leveraging deep clinical training and commercial experience, developing key partnerships with stakeholders within the cancer screening healthcare ecosystem for Guardant Health.
Engages leading healthcare professionals to support the introduction of new cancer screening products and services.
Possesses deep scientific and commercial background and knowledge in the oncology diagnostics space, authoritatively communicating and collaborating with leading healthcare professionals to demonstrate clinical and economic value of Guardant Health's screening product(s) and services.
Responsibilities:
- Translates research and publication data, disseminating information through publications, presentations, and Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities.
- Engages key leaders in cancer screening, focusing on target medical systems, discussing evidence for blood-based Colorectal Cancer (CRC) screening and exploring current screening pathways for CRC.
- Works with medical systems to develop unique performance data demonstrating the impact of screening products on clinical outcomes.
- Engages C-suite executives (Chief Medical Officers and Chief Quality Officers).
- Consults with Investigators on data collection, regulatory questions, and protocol development for Guardant Health screening assays.
- Develops external partnerships to accelerate screening product adoption.
- Facilitates meetings and scientific opportunities strengthening relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
- Supports on-site presentations, data reviews, and interactive education for KOLs.
- Participates in the broader Medical Affairs organization (MACDOERS), providing input and supporting the engagement of the wider Screening Medical Affairs and Commercial organizations.
- Up to 50% regional travel.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (MS, MPH, PhD, PharmD, MD) with 10+ years of experience in medical affairs.
- 5+ years of experience in diagnostics, oncology, screening, public health, or adjacent fields.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding work ethic, high ethical and scientific standards.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Experience in Medical Affairs for products addressing all stages of the cancer care continuum.
- Experience partnering with large healthcare systems.
- Success in product support and strategic insight to development plans.
- Track record of executing medical and/or scientific plans.
- Ability to critically analyze and synthesize data and scientific information.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, understanding and responding to multiple customer demands.
- Proven track record of developing and managing research collaborations.
- Broad network of clinical relationships in oncology.
- Self-starter with superior communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, translating scientific data into strategic insights.
Hybrid Work Model:
- Defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days.
- U.S. employees within 50 miles of a Guardant facility are required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
Salary: $264,400 - $363,550 (USD).
