Full-Time Senior Engineer, Platform

About the Role: We are looking for an experienced and visionary Senior Platform Engineer to lead the development and optimization of our AWS cloud infrastructure. You will leverage your deep expertise in cloud technologies, particularly AWS, to drive architectural decisions, automate infrastructure, and implement cutting-edge solutions to improve platform reliability, scalability, and performance. As a senior member of the team, you will collaborate closely with leadership, mentor junior engineers, and play a key role in shaping the future of our cloud strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure in AWS.
• Architect cloud solutions optimized for performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
• Drive automation initiatives, building robust IaC frameworks using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to platform engineers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Oversee the implementation and management of CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead complex troubleshooting and performance tuning efforts.
• Implement security best practices for cloud infrastructure.
• Evaluate and integrate new AWS services.
• Develop and enforce governance models for cloud environments.
• Act as the SME on AWS, providing guidance to executives and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure design and management, with a strong focus on AWS.
• Expertise in architecting, implementing, and managing complex cloud environments.
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Strong experience with Linux/Unix systems and automation.
• In-depth knowledge of networking, security, and cloud architecture best practices.
• Experience implementing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.
• Advanced proficiency with monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
• Leadership and mentoring experience.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional) or other advanced AWS certifications.
• Deep experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
• Expertise in multi-cloud or hybrid cloud strategies.
• Experience with service mesh architectures.
• Hands-on experience with security compliance frameworks.
• Familiarity with serverless architectures.
