Lead and direct the activities of the accounts receivable team.
Ensure timely client billings and regular customer collections.
Responsible for month-end close procedures, controls, analytics, foreign currency issues, and effective people and process management.
Global leadership position, focused on continuous improvement and driving improvements across key business processes.
- Oversee all aspects of Accounts Receivable function including billings, cash application, reconciliation, customer collections, and cash flow optimization.
- Oversee Billing function, including managing contractual deadlines, reviewing invoices, and revenue recognition.
- Communicate effectively with staff and various departments involved in Billing and A/R functions.
- Oversee collections team, ensuring regular leadership reporting of aged receivables.
- Ensure all billings are generated and sent timely.
- Oversee reconciliation of Accounts Receivable accounts (accounts receivable, unbilled receivables, and bad debt).
- Identify and resolve general ledger versus project activity balance variances.
- Lead monthly meetings with sales RVPs regarding client invoicing and past-due amounts.
- Review and update the bad debt provision quarterly and adjust audit memo annually.
- Review monthly Accounts Receivable flux analysis for P&L and BS, providing final copy to Controller.
- Lead process improvement initiatives for billing, revenue, and accounts receivable issues.
- Assist with audit requests and special projects.
- Communicate and work with key stakeholders (including FP&A) and internal/external auditors.
- Develop and maintain team performance through Team Leaders (recruiting, coaching, performance management, and development).
- Generate and provide revenue and AR reporting to leadership.
- Perform ad-hoc management requests and analysis.
