Position Summary: This role supports governmental public health systems coordination and innovation to end HIV/AIDS, viral hepatitis, and intersecting epidemics. The Senior Manager guides health departments nationwide through stakeholder engagement, collaborative problem-solving, and technical assistance.
Essential Duties:
- Lead multi-sector stakeholder engagement to support jurisdictional efforts and promote collaboration.
- Serve as a point of contact for health departments, assessing their needs and providing strategic guidance.
- Develop and manage stakeholder engagement workplans.
- Plan & facilitate meetings to support systems coordination and knowledge-sharing.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with leaders across healthcare systems and community-based organizations.
- Develop programming focused on scalable models of systems coordination.
- Design and deliver content for convenings, including presentations and training sessions.
- Represent NASTAD at conferences, serving as a subject matter expert.
- Track engagement activities and key performance metrics.
- Develop tools and resources to support jurisdictions.
- Improve integration across programs, including Ryan White, prevention, Medicaid, housing, and behavioral health.
- Draft content for funder reports and summaries.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Deep knowledge of governmental HIV programming (RWHAP, ADAP, HOPWA, etc.).
- Expert project management skills.
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
- Ability to design & implement programs for stakeholders.
- Expert Microsoft Office skills.
- Tech-Savvy.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Experience/Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- 8+ years of related work experience.
- 6+ years in governmental public health (ADAP, Ryan White, Medicaid, etc.).
- 4+ years of coaching or providing TA to health department staff.
- 4+ years working with federal funders (CDC, HRSA, SAMHSA) preferred.
- 4+ years developing and managing work plans.
