Position Summary: The Senior Manager will play a critical leadership role in guiding and supporting health departments nationwide through strategic stakeholder engagement, collaborative problem-solving, tailored technical assistance and the creation of practical tools and resources. Serving as a subject matter expert in HIV systems coordination, the Senior Manager will enhance coordination and collaboration across healthcare systems and community partners.
Essential Duties:
- Lead the development and execution of a multi-sector stakeholder engagement strategy.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for health departments, assessing their needs and providing strategic guidance.
- Develop and manage stakeholder engagement workplans.
- Plan & facilitate meetings, workgroups, and convenings.
- Cultivate and manage strategic relationships with leaders across healthcare systems and community-based organizations.
- Lead the development of programming focused on scalable, sustainable models of systems coordination.
- Design and deliver content for convenings, including virtual and in-person presentations and training sessions.
- Represent NASTAD at national conferences and external forums.
- Track jurisdictional engagement activities and key performance metrics.
- Develop tools, templates, guides, and other practical resources.
- Lead efforts to improve integration across siloed programs.
- Draft content for funder reports and summaries of project progress.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Deep knowledge of governmental HIV programming.
- Expert-level project management skills.
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
- Expert level skills in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Tech-Savvy: ability to learn new software quickly
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong ability to communicate and collaborate internally and externally.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines
Experience/Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible and related work experience.
- At least 6 years of experience working in governmental public health, particularly within ADAP, Ryan White, Medicaid, and/or other HIV care and treatment programs
- At least 4 years of experience coaching or providing TA to health department staff.
- At least 4 years of experience working with federal funders (CDC, HRSA, SAMHSA) preferred.
- At least 4 years of experience developing and managing work plans.
