As the Senior Manager, International Payroll, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end payroll operations across the EMEA region, focusing on compliance, accuracy, and operational excellence.
Based in Ireland, you will directly manage two U.S.-based payroll team members and collaborate with global stakeholders to ensure efficient payroll delivery.
Serve as a regional subject matter expert and help drive strategic initiatives, including the migration from ADP Streamline to ADP Celergo.
This hands-on role requires precision, leadership, and thrives in complex, fast-paced global settings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing across EMEA, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Supervise and develop two U.S.-based direct reports.
- Partner with the Senior Director of Global Payroll to support the regional migration.
- Collaborate with HR teams for accurate data transfer.
- Act as the EMEA payroll subject matter expert.
- Maintain compliance with internal controls, audit standards, and SOX regulations.
- Coordinate with HR and Finance.
- Prepare general ledger journal entries, reconcile payroll accounts, and support audits.
- Create and maintain EMEA-specific payroll SOPs and documentation.
- Monitor changes in payroll laws and tax regulations.
- Support ad hoc payroll data analysis and special projects.
- Collaborate across functions and time zones.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 7 years of payroll experience, with 3 years focused on international/EMEA payroll.
- Strong background in payroll accounting (cash reconciliation, journal entries, compliance).
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing global teams.
- Experience working with ADP platforms (ADP Celergo experience desirable).
- Knowledge of European labor laws and tax regulations (German or Dutch fluency a plus).
- Comfort in an audited payroll environment.
- Ability to navigate cross-functional boundaries.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
