Deciphera is seeking a Senior Manager of Patient Support Operations. The ideal candidate has deep reimbursement knowledge, hands-on case management experience in patient support programs, and experience managing outsourced hub and copay vendors.
Opportunity to join a small, collaborative team supporting two rare oncology products and potential future launches.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring operational excellence of hub and support program partners.
- Understanding individual case nuances and guiding hub staff.
- Recognizing trends/patterns to meet patient/business needs.
- Managing cases with vendors (patient support/hub, copay assistance, specialty pharmacy) using expertise in Deciphera's products, business rules, and reimbursement.
- Maintaining knowledge of Deciphera products, patient journeys, demographics, payer access, and patient needs, ensuring support offerings meet evolving needs.
- Managing patient cases, understanding payer requirements, and communicating with hub staff.
- Managing coordination between Field Access, Specialty Pharmacies, and Providers for accurate patient documentation.
- Monitoring program quality (reviewing cases, call monitoring, data analysis) to identify discrepancies and process improvements.
- Providing feedback to vendors and Deciphera leadership, documenting findings for improvement.
- Ensuring vendor compliance with contracts, business rules, and regulations.
- Leading vendor calls to review cases and troubleshoot issues.
- Supporting field access teams with customer inquiries/complaints.
- Resolving risk issues and performing root cause analysis related to customers.
- Handling escalations with physicians or patients.
- Maintaining understanding of patient support and access environment and regulations.
- Analyzing hub and copay data to validate accuracy, prepare reports, and present results.
- Coordinating quarterly business reviews with vendor partners.
- Improving program operations by suggesting and implementing new projects, initiatives, and processes.
