What a Senior Media Planner Does: You will have a solid foundation in media planning and buying, focusing on executing media strategies and ensuring seamless campaign delivery. You'll support the Media Supervisor in developing HCP and/or DTC tactical media plans, providing insights, and assisting in managing media campaigns from start to finish.
You'll also collaborate with internal teams, media partners, and clients to ensure alignment and optimization of campaigns across digital and offline media channels. Focus on direct buys across online (e.g., Digital Direct, OTT/CTV, Audio, Podcasting) and offline/non-digital (e.g., Linear TV, OOH, Print, POC) media channels. You'll be responsible for executing the media strategy, ensuring campaigns are launched, optimized, and reported effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Planning Responsibilities:
- Assist in media planning kick-off, ensuring media objectives are clear and aligned with client goals.
- Stay informed on marketplace trends and competitive insights for planning decisions.
- Use Eversana Intouch’s tools for competitive analysis, target digital consumption, and media plan development.
- Support development and articulation of media strategies, including channel mix, budget allocation, and rationale.
- Collaborate with subject-matter experts to align media strategies across platforms.
- Coordinate creation and presentation of media strategies to clients.
- Participate in weekly status meetings and manage status documents.
- Assist internal teams with understanding client needs and deliverables.
- Buying Responsibilities:
- Support RFP process by assisting in proposal ranking, vendor negotiations, and media partner selection.
- Oversee day-to-day implementation, optimization, and reconciliation of campaigns, ensuring client goal alignment.
- Manage accurate budget tracking, media buys, and reconciliation to optimize spend across channels.
- Review and ensure accuracy of media activation documentation, including Prisma setup.
- Guide Junior Planners and team members in developing accurate traffic sheets and media buys.
- Coordinate trafficking, manage creative asset delivery, and ensure asset alignment with campaign and client requirements.
- Ensure successful tracking, optimization, and reporting of all campaigns, collaborating with analytics teams.
- Support billing processes, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
- Collaborate with Account Management, PMs, Creative, Data Science, and subject-matter experts.
- Maintain communication with manager, VP, Group Media Director, and Director.
- Mentor junior team members on traffic workbooks and media buys.
- Contribute to insights and recommendations for new business development.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Experience: 3-5+ years in media planning/buying (digital priority), preferably agency experience; pharma media experience a plus.
- Tools: Experience with Prisma or MediaOcean required, syndicated planning tools preferred.
- Management: Manage multiple accounts and campaigns.
- Education: BA/BS degree
- Skills: Strong communication, presentation, organizational skills; critical thinking, problem-solving; proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint (advanced Excel); understanding of marketing, advertising, media, and budget requirements.
- Other: Ability to work cross-channel, integrate digital/offline media, detail-oriented; follow-through, process improvement, cross-department relationships; proactive attitude, team collaboration.
Salary Range: $56,000 - $84,000 (USD)
