As a member of the America’s Payroll team, responsible for processing 5 payrolls in the Americas. Serving over 2,100 employees in the US, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, and Mexico. This role supports accurate, timely, and compliant payrolls for these countries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Owns the payroll process from start to finish, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant processing, delivery, and reconciliation of all payrolls, adhering to compliance standards.
- Collects, maintains, and consolidates payroll data promptly. Ensures completeness and accuracy of records (new hires, terminations, compensation changes, stock income reporting, fringe benefits, benefits in kind, bonuses).
- Manages data integrity across multiple systems.
- Supports benefits and retirement processing with the Benefits team.
- Supports employees on international assignments regarding taxes, working with 3rd party providers and global mobility.
- Identifies operational and regulatory risks, developing mitigation plans.
- Provides high-value customer service to employees.
- Communicates with external payroll vendors to deliver and control payroll data, ensuring outputs meet company standards.
- Prepares and verifies documentation, declarations, and reports for relevant authorities and institutions.
- Addresses and resolves internal client inquiries regarding payroll matters.
- Collaborates with HR and Finance departments to align payroll processes.
- Addresses and resolves issues related to outsourced payroll services.
- Monitors deadlines and maintains payroll processes adhering to work regulations, labor laws, internal audit procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 7 years’ relevant payroll experience processing payroll in Americas.
- Expert knowledge in US payroll and federal, state, and local tax regulations and reporting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, process mapping, and project management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Develops strong partnerships and collaborates with cross-functional departments.
- Experience developing and enhancing internal process and controls.
- Familiar with complex HRIS system workflows and integrations.
- Working knowledge of systems like Workday HCM, Workday Payroll, Ceridian Dayforce, ADP Celergo, ADP Global View, and various Time and Attendance platforms (multi-country).
