Low Voltage High Power Senior Product Manager Reports to: VP Product Management
Position Summary:Reporting to the VP of Product Management, the Senior Product Manager is accountable for XP Power's Low Voltage High Power (LVHP) product portfolio from concept to end of life. This is a high-profile leadership position critical to the success of this high growth, highly profitable product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage products throughout their lifecycles, defining product & portfolio vision, strategy, and roadmap.
- Drive roadmap to support business objectives, collaborating with customers & internal stakeholders.
- Partner with engineering and customers to understand requirements.
- Partner with engineering to prioritize resource allocation.
- Manage LV HP portfolio and individual product profitability.
- Ensure successful transfer of products from Engineering to Manufacturing.
- Manage and maintain requirements traceability throughout product development.
- Write business cases and justifications for investments.
- Write product and market requirements documents.
- Research market opportunities, defining product developments, strategy, and engineering research.
- Be the recognized expert on product, market, technology, and competition.
- Gather and prioritize customer requirements and market insights to define product future and recommend new product lines.
- Drive adoption of new and current products to fulfill business objectives.
- Run customer trial and testing programs.
- Develop core positioning & messaging content.
- Develop and deliver internal and external training to relevant stakeholders.
- Perform product demos and roadmap presentations.
- Set pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals, in conjunction with Engineering.
- Conduct win/loss analysis to drive decision making.
- Understand and manage in-life product and portfolio performance.
- Deliver products meeting market needs and high-quality standards.
- Create and communicate product value propositions.
- Collaborate with product marketing and commercial enablement teams.
- Maintain product roadmap (Now, Next, Future).
- Understand competitive offering and win strategies.
- Lead decision-making for new product developments.
- Determine obsolescence of existing products.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety, quality requirements.
- Properly use company IT systems.
