Senior Recruiter is responsible for Service Excellence throughout the recruitment cycle. The Senior Recruiter acts as a brand ambassador for their client and partners with hiring managers in a consultative capacity. They focus on delivering top talent, providing proactive and timely communication on the status of the search. The Senior Recruiter stays abreast of industry and market information/trends impacting the search.
They mentor Recruiters and other team members, demonstrating innovation and outside-the-box thinking in search techniques.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Detailed job scope conversation with hiring leader to determine position specifications.
- Timely review of applicants via the applicant tracking system.
- Build and deploy effective recruitment marketing campaigns.
- Source candidates via resume databases, networking sites, and Boolean search language.
- Source candidates via social media and deep web sourcing.
- Generate targeted lists of passive candidates using subscriptions and technologies.
- Solicit and pursue referrals.
- Utilize software for mobile and email campaigns.
- Use a mix of media to connect with talent (phone, email, campaigning, introductions, social media).
- Provide value propositions tailored to each candidate.
- Prepare candidates for interviews: logistics, schedule, attire, and follow-up expectations.
- Ensure timely updates concerning application and interview status.
- Monitor candidate interest and concerns.
- Conduct professional phone interviews, asking probing questions.
- Navigate difficult conversations.
- Compare candidate notes and assessments with requisition specifications.
- Consider candidate fit to team and culture.
- Conduct skills testing, if needed, and evaluate results.
- Review background and reference information, if needed.
- Keep candidates engaged throughout the process.
- Continuously build the talent pipeline.
- Keep hiring managers updated on market changes.
- Articulate and drive candidate acceptance of job offers.
- Partner with hiring manager to ensure offer acceptance.
- Adhere to all regulations (OFCCP, etc.).
- Demonstrate segment/practice/industry expertise.
- Deliver a strong candidate slate.
- Provide accurate and regular reporting.
- Identify search difficulties and research solutions.
- Proactively and regularly communicate search status to the hiring manager.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, management, HR, or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years' results-oriented recruiting experience (in-house, RPO, or agency).
- Niche segment/industry expertise.
- Ability to use technologies for efficiency.
- Adherence to documentation and compliance processes.
- Experience with deep web sourcing.
Salary Range: $59,000 - $90,000 (dependent on experience, geography, and industry knowledge).
