Solution Consulting (pre-sales) is a vital part of the sales ecosystem at ServiceNow. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer experiences, focusing on performance and improvement.
Lead pre-sales capability and strategy for Energy & Utilities team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure Solution Consultants demonstrate solution relevance to customers, fully understand customer needs, deliver high-quality presentations, execute successful proofs-of-concept (when needed), document business value, and secure customer commitment to the ServiceNow solution.
- Develop team members according to business demands and individual goals.
- Maintain a strong recruiting pipeline of Solution Consultant candidates.
- Prioritize regional Solution Consulting efforts in collaboration with regional sales managers.
- Assign and evaluate resources against sales goals.
- Support demand generation efforts by collaborating with marketing.
- Develop and deploy team training curriculums to adapt to sales organization needs.
- Evaluate team members regularly using observation, peer feedback, and sales feedback.
- Ensure effective resource alignment and skill set utilization within the region.
- Manage day-to-day activities, including scheduling, expense reviews, and reporting.
Required Experience/Skills:
- Experience integrating AI into work processes.
- Strong pre-sales experience as an individual contributor and leader.
- Experience with the Energy & Utilities industry, selling to senior management.
- Thought leadership in software storytelling techniques.
- Strong coaching and development skills for early-career and senior contributors.
- Ability to lead people, process, and systems development.
- Understanding of ServiceNow sales, engagement process, and business value.
- Demonstrated success in a presales role.
- Experience managing presales teams (1st line management).
- Knowledge of Value-Based Selling or Solution Selling.
- Understanding of the SaaS market, PaaS solutions, and Service Management practices.
- Experience working in a fast-growing IT environment.
Compensation: Base pay from $149,250 to $246,300, plus equity, variable compensation, and benefits. Compensation varies based on location.
