This person will be part of Western Digital's IT analyst team focusing on Sales CoE & responsible for Business Analytics & BI solutioning. Closely working with Business stakeholders & super users, they will strive for operational excellence and project implementation as directed by the IT Enterprise Analytics group leaders.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Apply sophisticated quantitative and analytical methodologies to assimilate and analyze data, producing impactful and actionable insights for global sales leadership and key stakeholders.
- Transform complex sales business objectives into precise requirements for data and reporting, focusing on business value.
- Collaborate with internal partners (engineering, cross-functional IT teams) to ensure successful project implementation.
- Provide functional expertise during Requirements Gathering and Solution Design sessions, driving the business requirements process to establish precise views and visuals for KPI data gathering and reporting.
- Analyze and triage user queries for operational and close activities, liaising with technical and process teams for resolution.
- Research and advocate best practices to enhance process design and tooling for BI use cases.
- Facilitate periodic transition to offshore teams for efficient work hand-off.
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 7 years' experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or related field within sales/marketing.
- Proficiency in SQL, advanced data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI), and statistical analysis software (R, Python).
- Understanding of data warehouse concepts, ETL processes, and database management.

- Knowledge of sales processes, metrics, and KPIs in a global business environment.

- Hands-on experience with prominent BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Oracle BI, Spotfire, EPM Reports).
- Understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and Data Lake ecosystem.
- Familiarity with Oracle Fusion Cloud and EPM source systems.
