As a Talent & People Ops Manager, you'll be the connector and builder behind the programs that make Mongoose a place where people can thrive, grow, and do their best work.
What You'll Do
- Lead People Operations with Excellence: Manage and continuously improve core People programsâ ensuring every process reflects efficiency, consistency, and care.
- Run Consultative GTM, Product & Engineering Recruiting: Partner with hiring managers as a thought partnerâ clarify role outcomes and success metrics, design structured interview plans, and drive a best-in-class candidate experience.
- Build the Foundation for Growth & Development: Partner with the VP of People Operations to co-design and implement initiatives that strengthen how we hire, grow, and develop talent.
- Drive a Remarkable Employee Experience: Be the champion of an employee journey that feels intentional and engaging from start to finish.
- Be a Systems & Process Pro: Own the systems and workflows that bring structure to the People functionâ ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and integration across tools.
- Collaborate & Communicate: Partner closely with Finance, Operations, and department leaders to ensure alignment across every stage of the employee lifecycle.
- Innovate for the Future: Contribute to shaping what's next for Mongoose's People & Talent strategyâ testing new ideas, piloting programs, and helping define the path toward a stronger learning and development culture.
What You'll Bring To The Table
Overview: We're looking for someone who brings hands-on experience across People Operations and consultative recruitingâ someone who can navigate both the systems and the stories behind how great teams are built.
- People Ops Expertise with Vision: You bring experience managing HR or People Operations programs with a solid understanding of systems, compliance, and process design.
- Consultative Recruiting Chops: Proven ability to partner with hiring managers to define success upfront, craft structured interviews and scoring rubrics, coach interviewers, and manage full-cycle searches.
- Strategy before Execution: You step back to understand the bigger pictureâ business goals, constraints, dependencies, and success metricsâ before you build.
- Problem Solver by Default: Resourceful and curious, you ask sharp questions, dig for root causes, and understand problems deeply before proposing solutions.
