Full-Time Tax Accountant

We are currently looking for an experienced Tax Accountant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and review all sales and use tax returns. Ensure timely and accurate filing.
2. Manage tax provisions and related disclosures in financial statements.
3. Oversee the preparation and submission of quarterly and annual tax estimates.
4. Coordinate and manage tax audits and inquiries.
5. Prepare responses to tax notices and liaise with external advisors and auditors.
6. Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide recommendations.
7. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
8. Analyze the tax impact of new investment opportunities and business initiatives.
9. Assist in implementing Avalara as part of Intacct.
10. Ad hoc projects.
11. Cross-train and back up other team members.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in tax accounting
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
• Experience with filing sales tax returns using software tools (Avalara experience preferred)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
