About the Role: Seeking a motivated and skilled Tax Team Lead to manage a team of Tax Preparers.
Responsibilities:
- Assist Tax Preparers with client inquiries, escalating technical issues.
- Assist team with business tax return preparation (5472, 1065, 1120).
- Coach and provide feedback to improve team performance.
- Ensure adherence to SLAs and client expectations.
- Manage client-facing tax inquiries, ensuring "Inbox Zero" daily.
- Identify recurring client pain points and report to Team Manager.
- Track and report team performance (SLA adherence, client satisfaction, ticket volume).
- Escalate sensitive/difficult client interactions.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience leading a tax team, preferably in business return preparation (5472, 1065, 1120).
- 5+ years experience in business tax filing preparation.
- 3+ years experience as a Team Lead/Manager.
- Efficiently manage multiple tasks, ensuring client inquiries are responded to within SLAs.
- Proficient with ticketing systems like HubSpot.
- Strong reporting skills and experience tracking team performance/client metrics.
- Ability to work in a U.S. timezone overlap (4-6 hours/day).
- Professional and empathetic management of difficult client interactions.
- Strong written/verbal communication skills to clearly and empathetically communicate complex information.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Advanced CRM/Helpdesk Tools Knowledge (HubSpot or similar).
- Process Improvement Methodology Familiarity.
- Experience with Client Retention Strategies.
