Role SummaryWe are looking for a Tech HR Business Partner to serve as the key HR leader supporting our remote teams in Egypt. This role is critical to driving HR initiatives, strengthening employee engagement, and aligning people strategy with business goals, especially within our engineering, CX, and marketing functions. The ideal candidate has a strong background in HR at tech startups, understands the dynamics of software engineering teams, and is ready to take full ownership of HR operations on the ground in Egypt.
Requirements
- Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Partnership Act as the primary HR contact for the Engineering, CX, and Marketing teams in Egypt.
- Employee Engagement & Culture Design and deliver monthly or bi-monthly engagement events. Develop and drive career development plans and individual development programs. Lead local efforts for employee engagement, feedback loops, and pulse checks.
- People Operations Manage on-the-ground employee relations and HR cases. Cascade and lead the implementation of People team initiatives across Egypt-based teams. Ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies.
- Performance & Development Guide the implementation of performance improvement plans. Deliver clear development pathways including job families for engineering roles. Provide insights on performance trends using data to inform talent decisions.
- Metrics & Reporting Track KPIs such as employee NPS, number of engagement events, and number of development plans delivered. Provide recommendations for improving people metrics and reporting structures.
- Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in HR, with at least 2 years supporting tech/engineering functions in a startup environment.
- Deep understanding of HR practices within Egyptian labor law and familiarity with remote work culture.
- Demonstrated success in developing HR plans and org charts tailored to tech teams.
- Proven ability to operate independently, with a track record of influencing leadership and driving initiatives remotely.

- Egyptian National and based in Egypt.
- Flexibility to work outside of typical working hours as needed.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to build rapport across distributed teams.
- Prior experience working in fast-paced environments
- Ability to deliver results within the first 90–120 days.

- Full understanding of the Engineering org within 90 days.
- Delivery of a comprehensive job family for at least one technical role.
- Measurable improvements in engagement metrics and career development adoption within 120 days.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with HR analytics tools and People KPIs.
- Background in facilitating cross-functional collaboration between People teams and technical departments.
- Comfortable working fully remote while managing in-person needs as required.
