Overview
IDC is seeking a dynamic Training Development & Engagement Specialist (Contractor) to design, coordinate, and facilitate scalable business-specific training and development programs. This role is instrumental in building a repository of training content. This role reports to the Business Operations team and partners closely with internal subject matter experts (SMEs). The ideal candidate combines project management discipline, instructional design best practices, and change enablement expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Training Development & Facilitation: Design, develop, and facilitate effective and engaging learning programs.
- Collaborate with business leaders and SMEs to conduct training needs analysis.
- Create standardized training toolkits.
- Support change management efforts through communication and learning strategies.
- Apply principles of instructional design and adult learning theory.
- Ensure accessibility and inclusive learning design.
- Utilize evaluation models to assess training effectiveness and iterate on content.
- Engagement & Learning Operation: Build and maintain a structured content library/repository.
- Track and report on training participation, completion, and effectiveness.
- Establish a learning calendar in alignment with strategic business initiatives.
- Lead feedback collection mechanisms.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years in corporate training, L&D, or organizational effectiveness roles.
- Demonstrated experience designing and deploying content using LMS platforms.
- Advanced knowledge of e-learning tools.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to influence and drive adoption across matrixed teams.
- Strong facilitation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience supporting global learning initiatives that span across time zones.
- Certification in instructional design, change management, project management, or L&D tools.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with analytics dashboards for training effectiveness reporting.
