Job Details
About VEG In 2014, VEG was born with a mission to help people and their pets when they need it most by challenging norms and fixing the ER experience. Since then, we’ve expanded rapidly, with hospitals nationwide open 24/7/365. We’ve created an ER experience that focuses on what our pets and pet parents really need. We’ve done the same for our people (VEGgies), finding a way to say YES so they can feel empowered to achieve great things, grow in unexpected ways, and find a place where they truly belong. We’re rethinking emergency care from every angle.
The Job We’re looking for a self-motivated User Experience / User Interface Product Designer who’s ready to say YES to creating thoughtful, user-friendly solutions. At VEG, we find a way to say YES—so we can turn big ideas into real impact for the people who rely on us. In this role, you’ll bring ideas to life by working closely with engineers, end users, and stakeholders to design and improve our in-house applications.
What You’ll Do
- Lead user research including interviews and focus groups.
- Observe users in their space to gain insight on how they interact with the software application.
- Create low to high fidelity mockups and prototypes.
- Coordinate and lead user testing sessions with hospital employees.
- Define solution and implementation.
- Lead implementation kickoff meetings.
- Provide written guidance for software engineers on UI design.
- Identify opportunities in the application for in-app guidance, creating guide flow and content.
What You Need
- 3-5 years of experience in UX/UI product design.
- Creative and detail-oriented.
- Strong communication skills and experience in presenting research findings.
- Value efficiency with the use of design systems aligned with frontend framework.
- Proficiency with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, GitHub, Vimeo, Pendo, and Productboard.
How We Invest in You
- Competitive compensation ($100,000 - $140,000 base salary + bonus + benefits).
- Comprehensive health and wellness benefits, free therapy/counseling.
- Paid parental leave (up to 10 weeks at 100% of regular salary).
- Inclusive fertility and family-building care for all types of families.
- Unlimited PTO.
- Generous referral rewards.
- Casual office attire, bring your fur baby to work, cool VEG swag, food in the fridge, and free lunches twice a week!
- Company laptop, monthly cell phone reimbursement.
