CA Associate Therapist works in a dynamic multidisciplinary team providing treatment services according to the Discovery Clinical Model.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring patient safety and providing milieu interventions.
- Leading psychoeducational and process-oriented therapy groups.
- Facilitating clinical assessments and therapy sessions.
- Completing case management tasks.
- Ensuring timely and compliant clinical documentation.
- Establishing therapeutic rapport with patients and families.
- Facilitating admission assessments and processes.
- Participating in weekly treatment team and staff development meetings, communicating weekly treatment goals.
- Maintaining a caseload of 12-15 patients in OP level of care.
- Completing assigned therapy sessions, including family/support system sessions.
- Facilitating process-oriented and psychoeducational groups.
- Facilitating multi-family groups, family programs, and family weekends.
- Providing clinical input to the Utilization Review team.
- Responding to calls and emails promptly (within 2 hours during business hours, 24-48 hours otherwise).
- Assessing patients for suicidality and potential danger.
- Providing additional clinical support to team members.
- Communicating with the Utilization Review and Business Departments regarding authorization and payment.
- Beginning discharge planning on the day of admission.
- Completing discharge sessions to ensure coping skills, transition plans, and resources are understood.
- Confirming discharge appointments with patients and loved ones.
- Communicating with referral sources and outpatient providers for continuity of care.
- Facilitating patient transfers to higher levels of care (as needed).
- Actively participating in clinical outreach and program tours (as needed).
- Effectively managing crises in sessions and the milieu.
- Providing support to milieu staff.
- Working collaboratively with the entire treatment team and milieu staff.
- Completing other tasks as requested or assigned.
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctorate degree in a relevant field.
- Completion of state requirements for therapeutic interventions.
- Current driver's license and good standing.
Clinical Supervision Included.
