Full-Time Virtual Mental Health Therapist

Virtual Mental Health Therapist works in a dynamic multidisciplinary team providing treatment services according to the Discovery Clinical Model.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring patient safety and milieu interventions
• Leading psychoeducational and process-oriented therapy groups
• Facilitating clinical assessments
• Conducting individual and family therapy sessions
• Completing case management tasks
• Ensuring timely clinical documentation
• Establishing therapeutic rapport with patients and families
• Managing a caseload of 12-15 Outpatient patients
• Facilitating admission assessments and the admission process for new patients
• Understanding role in providing expeditious access to care
• Participating in weekly treatment team meetings and communicating treatment goals
• Completing the appropriate number of therapy sessions, including family/support system sessions
• Facilitating process-oriented and psychoeducation groups (2-4 times daily)
• Effectively managing crises
• Working collaboratively with the entire treatment team and milieu staff

Qualifications:

• Master's or Doctorate degree in a relevant field
• Completion of state requirements for therapeutic interventions
• Active clinical license in Maryland and Connecticut (preference for Florida, Texas, and/or Virginia licenses)
• Current driver's license
